    Rip off- bar bill

    My wife and I bought this package deal "all-Inclusive" cruise with Carnival. What a rip-off it ended up being. Good thing we took our credit card. We were told that so many of the drinks were on the house, with this special package we bought. We still had to give our names and cabin #. At the end of the cruise our bar bill was over $1,000. I was shocked and screwed. What a scam! We paid an additional $500 for this special package which was supposed to include most drinks. It didn't - they said we didn't read the fine print. I said - scam scam scam. I won't book with Carnival again!

    You really have to read the fine print on everything these days. We did the same thing when we booked our last cruise over Spring break. We didn't pay the extra money for the drinks - as I had a friend who did and got screwed big time. We limited ourselves to a couple of drinks a day. We also bought the pop pass, you could get all you wanted all day for a set amount of money.
    We got ripped on the trip by the rooms. We were told that our room was big enough for us and our 2 kids. What a joke that was. It was a tiny cabin and no matter what we did, they would not change us. We paid extra for a larger cabin so it sucked.
    When we got off the cruise and went home, I called the customer service line to complain. I wanted the extra cash back! I didn't get it. I sent numerous customer complaint letters, some by e-mail and some regular mail. . I even called a couple of times, nothing was ever done. They offer many scams and a lot of people fall for them.
    We won't be using Carnival ever again.

    Ouch! I have heard this complaint so many times that it is crazy. I think that it should be known to everyone and it soon will be if people keep complaining about it (keep it up everyone). Alcoholic drinks are not usually included in the "All-inclusive" packages on cruises. The drinks are outrageous too! So your bar bill at the end could just about break you!

    Bar bills are expensive no matter what cruise line you go with. The thing that sucks is when you think it's covered and it's not. For that reason alone, I would have sent in a complaint letter to Carnival Cruise lines to complain about what they told you and then what actually happened. Yes most times drinks are not included but if you were told they were, they you have a reason to complain. We tend to not drink any alcohol when we go on cruises.
