I bought a surround sound system and a stand for a big screen TV at HH Gregg. I paid extra so they would deliver it to me. They didn’t deliver it. I called to see why the delivery was delayed, only to be told that they had sold it to someone else and delivered it to them! I had to wait for several more days for them to get another one in from the warehouse.

On top of that, the surround system has needed repairs no less than four times due to a defective receiver. Every time they “repaired” it, they had it for more than a month – once as long as three months! And when I got the “fixed” receiver home and hooked it up, it still didn’t work. I returned it immediately. They told me that since I had needed the repair so many times, they admitted it was defective and I was to get a new system. After more than a month, I still have not heard anything about the replacement, and I have been without the system for 3 months. It’s been about nine months of the last year that I have NOT had my new system, due to the defectiveness. I filed a customer complaint with the Better Business Bureau about this and HH Gregg posted on the BBB site that repairs were made and I was satisfied. NOT! I responded to the BBB that HH Gregg’s response was not true. I requested an exchange and was refused. I’ve filed a customer complaint with the state Attorney General.

I feel like I’ve been scammed by HH Gregg, and I will not do business with them again. I highly recommend that you avoid HH Gregg this coming holiday season because the time, hassle, and money you spend there will not be worth it, at all.
